The Cuckoo bird, also called the 'Chaparral Cock,' inhabits the southwestern U. S. and is the state bird of New Mexico - though named after California (Geococcyx californianus). Excuse me for bragging, but I don't think you will find a better real life photographic composition of this bird anywhere.
